What if I have my baby before the course begins?
What if I have my baby before the course begins?
Sometimes mother nature has other plans. If your baby makes an early entrance to the world we will be happy to return 80% of your initial deposit and wish you good luck for the future. We only retain 20% of your initial deposit to cover administration costs.
Who can I bring with me?
Not every birth and childhood has a mum and dad present. We understand that in our wonderfully diverse world the birth dynamic comes in many different forms. Single mums, same sex couples, mums who choose to birth with a mother/sister/doula, it doesn't matter to us. Bring along just yourself or whoever you want to share this journey with and gain confidence and support from.
Course prices are based on two people attending.

When should I start?
Parents are recommended to book these courses early because they are so
popular.
You should also aim to have the course completed about 3 weeks before your due date and the earliest we recommend that you start is after your 20 week scan to give you plenty of time to practice the tools and techniques before baby arrives. If you're expecting twins, triplets or more, start your classes at around 24 weeks, because your babies are more likely to be born early.

Don't be put off if you are far along in your pregnancy because you can still benefit from attending classes and practicing techniques in your final weeks of pregnancy. It's never too late! Some people prefer to start later on in pregnancy, closer to their due date as they feel more confident, focused and motivated.

Am I entitled to time off work to attend antenatal care?
You are legally entitled to paid time off to attend antenatal appointments.

“Employers must give pregnant employees time off for antenatal care and pay their normal rate for this time off. The father or pregnant woman’s partner has the right to unpaid time off work to go to 2 antenatal appointments.”

Where are classes held?
We hold our group classes in conveniently places, nice comfy, warm community buildings so that we can also put something back into the local community.
Does Neo Perinatal support charities?
Yes, we have made a formal pedge to support these charities through donating a percentage of our total revenue. We fully support their work.
I'm unsure about classes and courses!
6 out of every 10 expectant dads/partners now attend antenatal / perinatal education courses.

Your both in this instruction-less boat together! The more you know the better the journey will be.
The more you know the better the journey will be. Attending together will give your relationship a whole
new dynamic that'll last long after the birth has happened for years to come.

Long gone are the days when fathers or birth partners were introduced to their baby after the 'event' and
long gone are the days when pregnant women went into a mysterious giggly secret cliche with each other
for nine months, kept it all to themselves and came home from the hospital with something that looked
suspiciously like a baby!

Things have changed- hooray! We all want to be involved with our kids. You'll probably want to find out
what's going on and be supportive from the start and most women are going to want you to be involved
all the way through. Yet let's be honest for many new dads and partners, signing up to weeks of ante/
perinatal courses can feel very awkward and you might think rather pointless. After all what on earth can
you really do to really help and how are you going to cope with listening to pregnancy and birth chatter,
and more to the point how is it really going to turn you into anything remotely useful when mother nature
is in charge anyway?
In short, these courses are packed full of solid practical stuff that mean you actually can make a difference right from the moment your partner's bump becomes your baby.

You'll also meet lots of partners who are in the same instruction-less boat together: Many will become good friends which means that you will gain a ready made support network to navigate early parenting times together, and your children will share life events and behaviours that you have in common!.................
